Engagement Session – Ashley & Greg
There are countless couples who meet as young adults, perhaps in college or even at work, but how many of us can say that we’ve known the love of our life since we were young teenagers? Now, how many of those couples can say that they met as teens at summer camp?
Meet Ashley and Greg, the newly engaged couple who met many moons ago at a summer camp for Jewish children (coincidentally, a camp that is owned and run by Ashley’s family)! Their faith is very important to them, and Greg is currently studying to become a Rabbi.
With an incredible history like that, I knew this was going to be an amazing Central Park engagement session! The first thing that I noticed about Greg and Ashley was their ease and familiarity with one another. Their laughter came easy and was authentic, and my camera was merely a mechanical voyeur as they shared all of sorts of tiny moments in front of me.
I’d like to note that they dressed in stark shades which made the colors of the trees pop in the most surreal way. It was as though the whole world was coming to life all around them. And as with pretty much everyone else at the park at this time of year, they couldn’t resist playing in the leaves before cozying up for one last portrait.
I can tell already that their wedding is going to be very special. I can’t wait to see them again later next year!
