What is the Advantage of Hiring a Professional Photographer who Specializes in Weddings?

ny wedding photography, empire state buildingThey say that getting married is one of the most stressful things we can experience in our lifetime along with moving house and dealing with a grievance. Many may agree with this statement due to the level of planning, thought and often, frustration which will come from planning your perfect day, with many different aspects need to be taken into consideration. One of the most important parts of your wedding is to have a competent and skilled photographer who will capture images of your wedding day. Many may feel that all they require is the simple service of a photographer who will do all the work in terms of placing your guests into a pose and capturing the image. However, in order to be provided with wedding pictures which will not only be beautiful and special but is also a great reminder of your special day; you should look into hiring a photographer who specializes in weddings.

With the advances in technology which have had a great impact on photography, many may feel that all they will require of their photographer is to have the necessary equipment in order to capture a great image. This is a very wrong assumption. Photographers will often have a specialty in which they excel the most and are able to capture the true essence of. When it comes to your wedding pictures, you want a photographer who not only can help make your images truly special and unique, but also one who can notice the small details which will make your wedding pictures something you can cherish for years to come.

Some couples may have a clear idea in their head of how they wish their wedding pictures to look, whilst others may be more open to allow the photographer to use their own initiative and creativity to make something truly exceptional. This means that they need to be flexible and be aware of what works-especially in terms of dealing with large groups and more intimate shots with fewer people. Weddings are often a long and lengthy process, filled with fun, excitement and anticipation. Some of the best wedding pictures will be of those which tell a story-capturing some of the best moments from the whole day, rather than the traditional static images of the family outside the church for example. In this instance, a wedding photographer will also be more able to work flexibly; working to both the requirements and needs you have, whilst still maintaining their own artistic style and professionalism to get the pest pictures possible for you. Many couples now look to having the more popular photojournalistic style for their wedding pictures which provides you with more natural and spontaneous images, rather than carbon-copy images which we have seen before. Wedding photographers understand the importance of your wedding pictures being truly special and so will work around getting the best picture possible-capturing the most important moments as they happen, rather than setting up scenes to capture. This is one of the largest benefits of having a photographer who specializes in wedding photography-noticing the small details which really matter.

When it comes to choosing a photographer for your wedding day, it really is beneficial to look into hiring one who specializes in weddings. They will not only do their utmost in order to capture the best moments of the day, but will also do this with the understanding that this is one of the best days of your life and you want the pictures to enjoy time and time again.

6 Ways To Put Fun Back Into Your Wedding Planning

Event planner Natalie Bradley, runs a successful wedding business in Athens, GA. Natalie helps couples with full service wedding planning & design, wedding day management and wedding consultations. She has helped many couples attain the wedding of their dreams.

“Are you having fun yet? Six ways to put fun back into your wedding planning.” by Natalie Bradley

If you’ve stopped having fun planning your wedding….STOP NOW and READ THIS! It’s imperative that you quit dreading or even hating the planning process for your wedding day. Most brides who are stressed beyond belief make 6 common bridal mistakes that make wedding planning a nightmare. So, today, I’m giving you 6 ways to put the fun back into your wedding planning….let’s get started!

Here are 6 ways to put the FUN back in planning your day

  1. Make a List that Works. Stop planning for a minute. Write down everything you need to do, and I mean everything. Prioritize your to do list in order of importance or time-sensitive items. Now get out your calendar and put a brightly colored sticky note on every Monday and Wednesday with 1 or 2 of these things to be done every single Monday and Wednesday. You will unload your to do list quickly and efficiently…and you’ll feel much better. Having a plan to plan will make your life so very much easier!
  2. Take some time off. Don’t treat your wedding planning like another job — you’re sure to suck the fun out of this if you do. Take some days OFF from your wedding. Don’t even talk about it. Seriously. Ask your fiancée, friends and family what they’re thinking about, what’s going on with them (outside of the wedding) and enjoy other important parts of your life too. This will also help you from experiencing the post-wedding blues that so many brides go through after being so laser-focused only on wedding planning and nothing else.
  3. Make a Date Night. Have at least one date night every week with your fiancée. Go out (or stay in) and enjoy each other. After all, you’re getting married because you have fun together and love each other, right? Don’t lose sight of this while planning your wedding. Make time to continue nurturing your relationship, which will help you plan for your marriage and not just the wedding.
  4. Speak Up! Is that what you want? Do you think that flower arrangement is hideous? Speak your mind. I’m not saying to be rude or to turn into bridezilla, but I’m telling you that you do have the right to have and say what you want. It is your wedding after all! Just because everyone else you know has planned their wedding a certain way doesn’t mean you have to. Listen to yourself for a change, and be honest about what’s important to you … and what’s not!
  5. Let go. Many brides who stop having fun are trying to control every one and every thing. Well, even as a professional wedding planner, I can honestly tell you that it won’t be perfect…and that’s okay. It will still be amazing and beautiful, and most importantly…you’ll be married to the love of your life! In fact, perfect is boring, so let’s have some fun with it. Just go with the flow. What will happen will happen, but it will all be taken care of and work out even better than you imagined with the help of your carefully selected vendors.
  6. Get some help. If you’re still not happy planning, hire a planner to pull your ideas together, even if it’s just to get you organized, make sure you’re on the right path, and to get you down the aisle on time. Your fiancée, friends and family will thank you…but more importantly, you’ll have fun planning the most extraordinary day of your life again! Planners offer a variety of packages to suit your needs, from wedding day management and coordination, to full service planning and design. See where you fit and get some help!
