Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Neetu and Vinay’s engagement portrait session.
One of their favorite activities to do as a couple is to explore the city, to become “cultural navigators.” So we decided that since they haven’t explored the new High Line Park yet, this portrait provided the opportunity for a visit. For those of you unfamiliar with the High Line Park, it is located on Manhattan’s West Side and is a park converted from the raised train track platforms built for freight trains that traveled through NYC during the 1930′s. The park currently runs from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to 20th Street and there are plans to expand this city park northward in the near future.
We continued the engagement portrait session by walking through some of the surrounding streets and finally finishing at a vacant pier on the west side.
Neetu & Vinay’s wedding is only a few weeks away – they are planning their wedding celebration at Capitale in New York City.
