Wedding Photography Contest 2010: Ends 11:59 pm February 28, 2010

There are less than 3 days left to enter for my free wedding photography giveaway contest! Contest ends 11:59 pm on February 28, 2010 – get your essay or video entry to Weddings by Chris Leary Photography  today – follow link at the bottom of this post!

Here’s what Ronnie & Jessica wanted to share with me:

Picture it: Paradise beach in Mykonos, Greece, summer of 2006. Jessica’s tumultuous
relationship in Manhattan had ended badly and she swore off men forever. Her wild and
crazy best friend convinced her to go to Greece for some fun and sun.

They were partying it up at the beach and frolicking in the ocean when Jess got stung by a
jelly fish. She approached a tall, dark and handsome man to ask for some help. “Do you
speak English?” she began tearfully. “Um, I’m from NY” he laughed. And proceeded to
offer to pee on her to take away the sting. He made her laugh in the first 2 minutes. She
couldn’t believe it; she traveled across the world to meet someone who was practically her
neighbor at home!

Fast forward to 2010. Jess and Ronnie have had several life-changing events strike this year
like the perfect storm. They got engaged. They scraped together all of their money to buy a
home together. Ronnie realized he will need a degree to advance his career so he started
taking classes. AND they just had a BABY! Beautiful little Jadyn Grace was born in
November. Now on to the next big thing, planning their dream wedding!

Jess and Ronnie have exhausted all of their savings, after all, real estate, school, and babies
can be pretty pricey – side note: the name Jadyn means precious yet costly :) Being able to
show our daughter these photos means the most to us and is the number one reason we’d like
a first-class photographer to document this special day. We truly appreciate creative
photography and know you would do an amazing job of capturing the love within our family
into photos she will have forever. It would be so appreciated and really help us out with our
struggle to make ends meet. Please see attached pictures of Jessica, Ronnie and the little
munchkin.

Wedding Photography Contest 2010: 7 Days to Go

There are less than 7 days left to enter for my free wedding photography giveaway contest. Here is another wonderful entry:

Hello, my name is Sara and my fiance’s name is Edward.  We are both teachers in Massachusetts.  Jed teaches physics and astronomy and I teach art to 600 students in three different schools. We are very hard working individuals who desire to inspire children to be independent and creative learners and thinkers. We have been engaged since January of 2009 and we have been attempting to have a green wedding.

Our ceremony and reception is at the same site as to reduce carbon emissions. We are not using cut flowers for our reception, but potted plants so people can take them home. Besides having the goal of being green, we are also trying to cut costs of the wedding. In fact, most of the main jobs in the wedding are being done by friends. Our reception music will be played room my i-pod by a friend who is a DJ. Both of our officiants are friends of ours and the cost of our site is fairly minimal as sites go.

We are having an outdoor wedding and it would be very important for us to have it be captured by a professional photographer. As of now, we have asked friends, but all of them seem overwhelmed with the responsibility of doing it. As of now, we have no formal photographer. We both work very hard and a wedding is coming at a great expense to us, so we would appreciate any help you could lend. Thanks for your support!
