Adaobi & Charles’ Wedding Slideshow

Here are some of my favorite pictures from Adoabi and Charles’ wedding, which was held on August 30, 2009 in Norwood, New Jersey. Everyone was so friendly and the mood was festive! People traveled near and far to attend the wedding – Charles’ Grandmother made the trip from Nigeria. One of the most heart felt moments of the night, was when one of Abaobi’s very good friends, stood up and sang a traditional Nigerian wedding song. Although I didn’t understand the words, I could feel its impact on everyone. And when I saw Adaobi wipe tears from her eyes, I knew what it meant to her.

All the details were handled by the very talented Liz of Fete Atelier Event Design. The flower arrangements were created by Ginger Lime Flowers

Preview – Niesha & Aaron’s Wedding

Here are a few pictures from last Saturday’s wedding of Niesha & Aaron. They were married at Central Baptist Church on Amsterdam Ave, and right after the ceremony, we took a walk through central park for some bridal party pictures. I have to tell you, New Yorkers amaze me. I am often surprised by their kindness and generosity. Everywhere we went, random people were congratulating and wishing Niesha and Aaron their best. Horns were honking! People smiled and said “What a beautiful bride!” Despite the sheer size of this city, there is a sense of community and friendliness like that of small towns. We ended the photography in the park with some beautiful pictures of the wedding couple on the bow bridge. We began to walk along the water’s edge, when we stumbled upon a mini concert. I felt badly that we were walking directly through a performance by David Ippolito, “That Guitar Man from Central Park”. To all of our amazement, he stopped his concert and asked Niesha & Aaron if he could sing them a first dance song- “Can’t Help Falling In Love.” What a NYC moment! Allison & Matthew’s Wedding Slideshow

Allie & Matt were married on August 14, 2009. Both the wedding and the reception were held at Turner Hill in Ipswich, Massachusetts – a fantastic old mansion rich with architectural details from the late 1800′s. One particular detail that inspired Allie’s color palette for her wedding, came from the peacock motifs that can be found throughout Turner Hill. She used a white feather in her hair and her flowers were saturate with various shades of purple. I was amazed by the pictures I took of the couple when they first saw each other for the first time that day – they depict a truly ecstatic bride and groom who could barely contain their joy. Some of Allie and Matt’s pictures have become part of my portfolio of favorites.

Preview – Adaobi & Charle’s Wedding

Here are a few pictures from Adaobi and Charles’ wedding celebration. They were married on Sunday August 30, 2009 in Norwood, NJ at the Colonial Inn.

I love traditions and being a wedding photographer allows me to experience all kinds of wonderful traditions from around the world. Since many of Adaobi and Charles’ family and friends are Nigerian, several of the women attending the wedding wouldn’t think of not wearing her gelé. The whole day was very festive!
